JFR Construction Company is a turnkey framing contractor seeking an onsite Superintendent for commercial construction projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Responsible for coordinating and supervising subcontractors, performing quality control checks, coordinating with the General contractor / trade partners and maintaining a clean and safe jobsite. Coordination with the Project manager & Production supervisor, to ensure all materials, components and equipment are delivered onsite to meet the project schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Site Management –
o Attend Weekly onsite Forman’s meetings.
o Schedule manpower to meet project schedule.
o Coordinate delivery of walls panels with Project Manager / Production manager.
o Attend pre-construction meetings for each new project you are assigned.
o Ordering, tracking and reporting on necessary supplies for job costing.
o Provide work assignments to subcontractors to maintain project schedule with General Contractor.
o Complete Quality control checks, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
o Ability to manage / complete punch lists.
o Conduct weekly toolbox talks.
o Complete daily manpower logs.
o Coordinate daily clean up onsite.
o Ability to perform certain tasks outside of the normal scope of operations.
· Carpentry / Equipment –
o Ability to review plans and provide layout for rough openings.
o Ability to use hand tools to set windows, doors, sliders, blocking, etc.
o Certified to use field lift equipment (Boom lift, forklift, etc.)
o Maintaining / refueling equipment
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
· 3 years of construction superintendent experience or a combination of education and experience.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Capability to understand project scopes and delegate appropriate tasks to subcontractors.
· A solid knowledge of all phases of general construction.
· Ability to read Contract drawings and specifications.
· Ability to work unsupervised and meet project schedule.
· Collaboration skills for working with clients, engineers/architects, and subcontractors.
· Solid computer skills and experience with construction management software. Procore preferred but not required.
· Ability to track jobsite T&M tickets, provide daily logs and manage onsite rental equipment.
· Ability to foster and support a strong company safety culture.
· Possess or be willing to attain 30-hour OSHA, CPR, and other professional accreditations as required.
· Rough Carpentry experience preferred.
· Multi-family experience preferred.
· Travel to PA, DE, MD, VA and DC is required.
PAY: Pay scale will be based off experience and knowledge of the industry. Entry level candidates with little experience are encouraged to apply.
