We’re looking for a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for 900 union and non-union employees for a leading construction firm. The company is a multi-state building contractor with 1100 employees across the US. As the Payroll Manager, you will directly manage 4 payroll professionals and work closely with the Regional Controller and CFO to develop, execute, and review payroll processes and manages the development of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process multi-location payrolls, ensuring accuracy in compensation, benefits, deductions, and taxes.
• Oversee payroll filings, including federal, state, local, and union reporting.
• Reconcile payroll with the general ledger and bank statements.
• Maintain compliance with payroll laws and internal controls.
• Lead and develop payroll coordinators to ensure high performance.

What You Bring:

• 6 years of payroll experience, including 3 years in leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field (preferred).
• Experience managing multi-state, union, and 1,000 employee payrolls (construction industry experience is a plus).
• Strong Excel and payroll software skills.
• Sophisticated Payroll Systems experience.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting.
• Willing to do 5days in office (fully onsite)
