What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Specialist position at JJM Packaging?
The primary goal for the Quality Specialist is to assist in conducting quality and Food Safety activities along with the Regulatory & Quality Director.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform physical inspection of received raw materials and finished product samples.
· Performs GMP related verifications such as cleaning, inspection, and other duties as assigned.
· Collects and appropriately labels retain samples.
· Conducts raw material, WIP, and product testing and evaluation.
· Assists as the backup for product review and release.
· Documentation such as sample submission forms for raw materials and finished products.
· Writes and updates specifications for raw materials and finished products.
· Conducts GMP walkthroughs of the facility.
· Responds to and escalates events during production to Quality Management.
· Will learn to perform in process audits to identify adherence to SOPs and NSF requirements.
· Follows all procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
· Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
