Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled JIRA Administrator to support our team in managing and optimizing JIRA instances. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with JIRA configuration, user management, and workflow customization. This is a short-term contract role based in Sunnyvale, CA, with a preference for local candidates who can work onsite if required.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain JIRA instances
Create and manage projects, boards (Scrum/Kanban), workflows, custom fields, and permissions
Administer user accounts, roles, and groups
Support integration of JIRA with other tools and systems
Manage Agile and Kanban boards for both development and support teams
Write and optimize advanced JQL (JIRA Query Language) queries
Troubleshoot issues and provide quick resolutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement JIRA customizations
Required Skills:
Strong experience with JIRA configuration and administration
Experience with JIRA integrations with other applications
Solid understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies
Proficiency in writing JQL
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Groovy, Python, or Shell) is a plus
