Key Responsibilities:
Mail Management
- Sort and distribute incoming mail promptly, with special attention to time-sensitive documents
- Process outgoing mail, including applying correct postage and arranging pickups
- Manage returned mail and resolve associated issues
- Scan and upload documents to our electronic filing system as needed
- Process outgoing shipments via various carriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS)
- Operate shipping software to create labels, track packages, and manage shipments
- Ensure accurate weighing and postage application for all outgoing items
- Pack items securely using appropriate materials and containers
- Maintain accurate records of all shipped and received packages
- Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries
- Handle special shipping requests, including expedited or international shipments
- Operate X-ray machine to screen incoming packages for security purposes
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures when handling packages
- Maintain compliance with shipping regulations and company policies
- Drive company van to make local deliveries and pickups as needed
- Maintain the company van, ensuring it's clean and in good working condition
- Plan efficient routes for deliveries and pickups
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the company vehicle
- Monitor and maintain inventory of shipping supplies
- Reorder supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations
- 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or related field
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and shipping software
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and maintain an active work style
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
