We are currently seeking a seasoned and dedicated Construction Project Accountant to join our team. This is a permanent position that plays a pivotal role in our organization, offering an exciting opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for handling financial matters related to our construction projects, from initial budgeting to final cost reconciliation. This role requires a high level of detail, organization, and a deep understanding of both accounting principles and the construction industry.
Responsibilities :
1. Oversee all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting.
2. Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
3. Manage subcontractor payments, ensuring all work is properly invoiced and paid.
4. Conduct regular financial analysis, identifying any discrepancies or issues that may impact project profitability.
5. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insight into project performance and financial status.
6. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, particularly those specific to the construction industry.
7. Assist in the development of financial forecasts and budgets, providing input based on historical data and anticipated project costs.
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction accounting or a similar role.
3. Proficient in accounting software and construction management systems.
4. Exceptional knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
5. Strong experience with subcontractor payments and related processes.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and create insightful reports.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
8. Ability to work closely with project managers and other team members, providing financial guidance and support.
9. High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
