We are currently seeking a seasoned and dedicated Construction Project Accountant to join our team. This is a permanent position that plays a pivotal role in our organization, offering an exciting opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for handling financial matters related to our construction projects, from initial budgeting to final cost reconciliation. This role requires a high level of detail, organization, and a deep understanding of both accounting principles and the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting.
• Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
• Manage subcontractor payments, ensuring all work is properly invoiced and paid.
• Conduct regular financial analysis, identifying any discrepancies or issues that may impact project profitability.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insight into project performance and financial status.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, particularly those specific to the construction industry.
• Assist in the development of financial forecasts and budgets, providing input based on historical data and anticipated project costs.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction accounting or a similar role.
• Proficient in accounting software and construction management systems.
• Exceptional knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Strong experience with subcontractor payments and related processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and create insightful reports.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work closely with project managers and other team members, providing financial guidance and support.
• High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and improvement in the construction industry.
