Our esteemed manufacturing organization is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Sr. Freight & Transportation Analyst to join our growing team. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in optimizing our transportation and freight operations, reducing costs, and improving efficiency. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Customs regulations, key performance indicators (KPIs), and Power BI. The role demands a strong strategic thinker who can develop and implement effective transportation strategies and manage our transportation management systems.
Responsibilities :
1. Design, develop, and implement cost-effective freight and transportation solutions for the organization.
2. Leverage your expertise in Power BI to analyze and interpret complex data, turning it into actionable insights.
3. Monitor and manage KPIs to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of freight and transportation operations.
4. Stay abreast of current customs regulations, ensuring all transportation activities are compliant.
5. Collaborate with various internal teams, such as supply chain, procurement, and production, to align transportation strategies with business goals.
6. Manage our Transportation Management Systems, optimizing routes, schedules, and vehicle utilization to reduce costs and improve service levels.
7. Analyze and forecast freight rates and transit time to guide the decision-making process.
8. Prepare and present analytical reports to senior management, providing them with insights into freight and transportation performance.
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in managing KPIs and using Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations and their application in freight and transportation operations.
5. Experience in managing Transportation Management Systems.
6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
7. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into understandable insights.
8. Proven track record of developing and implementing effective transportation strategies that reduce costs and improve efficiency.
9. Ability to work collaboratively with various internal teams and stakeholders.
10. High level of professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
