Director of Development & Corporate Engagement #ESF3644 Full time | ExpertHiring | United StatesPosted On 01 / 16 / 2025Job Information Job Opening ID ZR_1603_JOBAdministration$100,000 - $120,000 Annuallyadam@experthiring.comCity : Los AngelesState / Province : CaliforniaZip Code : 90028Job Description Top Reasons to work with our client : 401(k)!Dental insurance!Flexible spending account!Health insurance!Life insurance!Paid time off!Tuition reimbursement!Vision insurance!Job Type : Full TimeWhat you will be doing : Help design and implement a comprehensive development plan.Establish external alliances and cultivate individual, corporate, and philanthropic support.Be responsible for raising $2 million.Manage major gifts, legacy gifts, special event fundraising, naming campaigns, online / crowdsource fundraising, and corporate / foundation support.Expand and diversify the League’s donor base / pipeline.Work closely with League management to secure funding for new initiatives.Co-create and execute a comprehensive annual strategic development plan in partnership with the CEO.Secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations, with a focus on Planned Gifts.Develop, foster, and maintain relationships with major donors to increase the revenue base.Share best practices, creative solutions, and innovative approaches to meet fundraising goals.Regularly assess development strategies and adjust based on donor feedback and outcomes.Manage all moves management efforts ensuring all donor cultivation and gifts received are tracked accordingly in the Donor Perfect database.Supervise and support staff responsible for data entry, tax acknowledgment letters, gift processing, and other Development assignments.Lead, support, and implement special events fundraising as appropriate or guided by the CEO.Engage in community relations with neighbors, city / state officials, key constituents, and the Chamber of Commerce.Experience you will need : Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) required; master's degree a plus.5 years of successful experience in planning, leading, and managing development projects in a nonprofit setting, including significant experience in a leadership position.Experience supervising and managing staff.Demonstrated success in developing a major gift program and / or legacy gift program.Experience cultivating or managing a corporate engagement program.Proven track record in growing philanthropic revenue and expanding donor bases in a nonprofit setting.Experience working collaboratively with a Board of Directors and programs.Experience nurturing and motivating volunteers and / or members, with an appreciation for their role in fundraising.Development / Fundraising certification and / or association involvement is a plus.Experience with related mission-driven organization preferred.Our client asked me to submit 3 great people within the next few days.
