Job Summary
The successful candidate will have a strong background in biological sciences, with expertise in synthetic biology or biotechnology. You will be responsible for designing and executing experiments in microorganisms, as well as maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and execute protocols for genetic engineering and characterization of microorganisms.
- Assist in the design and lead execution of experiments within monitoring growth conditions of microbial organisms.
- Maintain laboratory equipment/supplies.
- Schedule and execute experimental protocols.
- Ensure the quality of procedures and data.
- Prepare and present presentations and written documents summarizing efforts.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences.
- 1 years of relevant experience in synthetic biology or biotechnology.
- Knowledge of microbiology as applied to non-medical biotechnology defense research.
- Experience designing and executing synthetic biology or biotechnology experiment in microorganisms.
