Job Description
The RFID Field Engineer will provide on-site technical expertise and support to oversee the successful operations of electronics, devices, and other system-of-systems components. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing research, design, development, or testing of electronic components and systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use
- Designing electronic circuits and components for use in fields such as telecommunications or instruments and controls
- Oversseeing the efforts of installation staff and being responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job
- Recommending and implementing hardware, infrastructure, and installation configurations based on facility features and constraints
- Using RF engineering tools and techniques to optimize system performance
- Providing engineering support, optimization recommendations, and troubleshooting for fielded products and infrastructure
- Developing and implementing test and qualification procedures for wireless communication and data collection systems
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with at least 10 years of experience in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, including field support. Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of IoT, RFID, and network engineering, as well as deployment considerations and facilities nuances. Active Secret clearance is preferred, but only candidates eligible for a Secret level clearance will be considered (US Citizenship required).
