**Overview of the Position**
LMI is seeking a skilled RFID Field Engineer and subject matter expert in Pearl Harbor, HI to support activities related to shipyard modernization as part of enterprise-wide U.S. Navy strategic modernization and improvement efforts.
The successful candidate will provide on-site RFID technical expertise and support to oversee the successful operations of electronics, devices, and other system-of-systems components.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Overssee the workflow and workforce, giving directions and recommendations when necessary.
- Develop strategies and plans to improve the site's efficiency, produce progress reports, and coordinate with other workers.
- Provides on-site passive Radio Frequency Identification (pRFID) technical expertise and support.
- Perform research, design, develop, or test electronic components and systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use employing knowledge of electronic theory and materials properties.
- Design electronic circuits and components for use in fields such as telecommunications or instruments and controls.
- Overssees the efforts of installation staff and is responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
- Recommend and implement hardware, infrastructure, and installation configurations based on facility features and constraints.
**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Masters degree preferred.
- 10 years of Electronics or Electrical Engineer experience and field support.
- Understands IOT, RFID, and network engineering.
- Understands deployment considerations and facilities nuances.
- Knowledge of RF hardware systems and testing equipment.
- Professional and detail-oriented work ethic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
- Active Secret clearance preferred; only candidates eligible for a Secret level clearance will be considered (US Citizenship required).
