Job Summary:
The Trauma-Informed Services Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the delivery of trauma-informed school-based suicide prevention and early intervention services to middle and high school youth, transitional aged-youth, and their families. This position requires a strong ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of youth and families, develop and maintain relationships with school staff, gatekeepers, and stakeholders, and provide support and guidance to youth and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the Signs of Suicide (SOS) presentation to students and caregivers
- Conduct risk assessments and provide crisis intervention, resources, and support services to youth and families
- Support Program Manager in coordinating online documents needed for Check Your Mood Week presentations
- Develop and maintain relationships with school staff, gatekeepers, and stakeholders
- Assist Clinical Coordinator in training new hires and volunteers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or another closely related field
- Minimum two years' experience working with youth, family, and community development
- Direct experience as a consumer or caregiver of children's mental health services
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School diploma
- Able to work in a diverse environment and demonstrate cultural competence
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Availability to work weekends and evenings as assigned
- Reliable vehicle and relevant auto insurance
