We are seeking a dynamic and experienced contract Accounts Payable Clerk to join our thriving Accounting and Finance team. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional who is passionate about managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in invoicing, and providing valuable insights to optimize our financial operations. Responsibilities

As a contract Accounts Payable Clerk, your main responsibilities will include

• Processing and verifying invoices received from suppliers and vendors.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions related to accounts payable.
• Reconciling processed invoices by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor inquiries regarding finance.
• Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports.
• Continuing to improve the payment process.
• Assisting with month-end closing.
• Providing supporting documentation for audits.
• Maintaining confidentiality of organizational information.
• Collaborating with the finance team to implement financial strategies and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need

• Either a bachelor's degree in Accounting OR a minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable with Associates Degree
• Advanced knowledge of invoicing and general financial processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with financial audits and knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
