Responsibilities
As a Consulting Drafter, your primary duties will include
- Creating detailed CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drawings for construction projects, including structural, architectural, and site plans.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings.
- Reviewing and modifying CAD drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Providing technical advice and solutions for design issues that arise during the construction process.
- Conducting site visits, as necessary, to gather data for drafting and design purposes.
- Coordinating with other professionals, such as contractors, surveyors, and regulators, to ensure project goals are met.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest CAD technology, drafting standards, and construction methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
The ideal candidate for the Consulting Drafter position should possess the following
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in CAD Drafting in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, design standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent technical drawing skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide effective design solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- A valid driver's license for site visits, as required.
