Responsibilities
As an Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the financial and accounting operations of our manufacturing and distribution processes. Your responsibilities will include
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including managing the accounting staff.
- Implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure the company's funds are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies and US GAAP.
- Preparing and analyzing financial reports, including balance sheets, income and loss statements, and tax returns.
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with internal processes and legal requirements.
- Working closely with the management team to formulate and implement company financial plans.
- Evaluating and managing risk, analyzing efficiency, and informing key stakeholders of trends and performance metrics.
The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager role will possess the following qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Solid understanding and experience with manufacturing and distribution accounting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including a strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Proven experience in managing a team and driving performance.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
