Responsibilities
Collaborate with Engineering and Machine shop to develop detailed blueprints for electromechanical equipment and components. Translate the specifications and needs of equipment into visual plans, combining knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and manufacturing techniques.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with Engineering and Machine shop to develop detailed blueprints for electromechanical equipment and components. Translate the specifications and needs of equipment into visual plans, combining knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and manufacturing techniques.
- Using SolidWorks, create 3D models/top assembly models of all components/machinery; convert models into detailed 2D engineering drawings with BOM’s and revision history.
- Using SolidWorks Electrical, create full scale wiring diagrams (circuit, schematic and ladder diagrams) of all controls/electrical components with BOM’s and revision history.
- Ensure proper documentation standards are met, including use of standardized symbols, electrical junctions and connections, and component locations.
- Associate degree in technical drafting and/or drafting certifications (see desired skills below).
- 5 years’ experience in a drafting background with using SolidWorks CAD program.
- 5 years’ experience in creating Electrical circuit, ladder and schematic diagrams using SolidWorks Electrical or equivalent.
- Experience with machine design/drawings, production drawings, and tooling design with various materials including metals, plastics, etc.
- Possess competent working knowledge of basic Engineering Design, Tolerancing, Dimensioning and drawing schema standard to the industry.
- Mechanical Control Devices/Skills good working knowledge of pushbuttons, limit switches, level switches, pneumatics, etc.
- Electrical Device Control/Skills good working knowledge of PLC’s, solenoids, sensors, motors, etc.
- Experience in use of measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, and comparators.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must be a high energy individual with a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and meticulous.
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment with excellent people skills.
