This is a permanent position, offering a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our company's financial management. As a Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the financial operations, including the monthly and annual financial reports, budgets, forecasts, tax compliance, and various special analyses. This position plays a crucial role in providing financial insights and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, which will contribute to strategic decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Controller will be responsible for

• Overseeing all financial operations of the company, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and finance.
• Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Managing the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Leading the preparation for the initial public offering (IPO) and managing the relationship with external auditors.
• Preparing STAT reporting and other regulatory filings.
• Ensuring the company's tax compliance.
• Providing financial analysis, making recommendations to support business decision-making.
• Managing the company's cash flow and forecasting needs.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing the finance team.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Corporate Controller position should possess the following qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; an MBA or CPA is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a P&C environment.
• Proven experience in preparing a company for an IPO.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with GAAP.
• Demonstrated experience with STAT reporting and month-end close.
• Strong understanding of tax codes, legislation, and compliance.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing internal controls.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present and explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
