Job Details
Responsibilities :
Represent clients across the food and agriculture industries in regulatory compliance, land use, supply chain issues, and litigation mattersAdvise clients on legal matters related to agricultural operations, including farm ownership, contracts, food safety, environmental compliance, and labor issuesDraft, review, and negotiate contracts, including grower agreements, vendor contracts, and food distribution agreementsHandle litigation and dispute resolution involving agricultural business disputes, product liability, or regulatory enforcement actionsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including FDA, USDA, FSMA, and environmental statutes impacting the food and agriculture sectorsDevelop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risk and promote business sustainability for clients in farming, food production, and related sectorsQualifications :
5 years experienceActive member of the California Bar Association or eligibility for admissionPrevious litigation experience, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and arguing motionsExperience advising clients in food production, farming, or agribusiness operations, either in-house or through private practiceKnowledge of federal and state regulatory frameworks governing food safety, agriculture, and environmental complianceExcellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively counsel diverse clients across the agriculture and food supply chainInterested in hearing more?
