Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced litigation Associate to join our firm. This role will be focused on litigation matters, providing legal advice and representation in a variety of areas, including securities litigation, labor and employment, and professional liability.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting legal research
Appearing in court or FINRA for routine conferences or oral arguments when required
Handling regular court appearances and depositions
Drafting legal documents such as pleadings and motions
Assisting with discovery tasks, including drafting demands, reviewing document productions, and analyzing responses
Organizing and prioritizing the workload effectively
Reporting the status of each matter to clients and carriers
Conducting initial and follow-up consultations with clients
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience
Licensed to practice in NY/NJ
Background in Civil Litigation
Proven ability to strategize, lead cases, and resolve complex disputes effectively.
Ability to adapt and expand litigation experience into the financial services space, as needed.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments to diverse audiences.
