We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Permanent Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of litigation including depositions, legal research, writing, and trials.
- Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, and agreements.
- Represent the company in court and before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute legal actions.
- Conduct pre-trial preparations and defend the organization in lawsuits.
- Advise management on legal decisions, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of the organization in an effort to avoid court proceedings.
- Develop and implement legal strategy and tactics, while managing risks and ensuring the efficient completion of projects.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and agency representatives.
- Stay updated on current legislation and legal developments affecting the industry.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
- Proven experience in managing multiple cases and the ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong research and report-writing skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team.
- High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
- Trial experience is a must.
