Job Summary – Senior Litigation/Trial Attorney

What you’ll be doing:

· Personally handle a file load of personal injury and select , workers compensation , and select malpractice cases

· Extensive client interaction including intake and subsequent communications

· Prepare demands and negotiate successful resolutions on behalf of clients

· Attend and advocate for clients at depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trial

· Independently research, interpret and apply legal principles in the context of motion practice and litigation

· Work collaboratively with senior attorneys in litigating complex medical negligence and serious injury cases

· Active involvement in all phases of client representation from intake, initial office conferences, case development, demand, negotiation, and resolution

Drafting legal memoranda to various courts, arguing motions and Appeals as are needed.

Trial work and trying cases as needed.

Qualifications:

· Five or more years of experience

· Client focused – personally demonstrate that both external and internal clients are a high priority by identifying, and responding to their needs in a timely and efficient manner

· Extensive experience in personal injury law and workers compensation

· Extensive experience in Serious Injury Litigation

· Extensive experience in Complex Litigation

· Strong academic credentials

· Advanced analytical skills

· Strong time management skills

· Strong writing and oral communication skills

· Strong legal research and writing skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Fully licensed to practice law in Rhode Island. Licensed in Massachusetts, and/or Connecticut is a plus

Compensation:

Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience. Generous incentive program.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
