We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Permanent Material Handler to join our Engineering industry team. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in inventory management, material handling, and warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of raw materials, finished goods, and other supplies throughout our facility. Responsibilities:
- Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
- Perform inventory control activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of stock levels
- Pick and pack orders for delivery to customers or production lines
- Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment to move goods throughout the facility
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production schedules and customer demand
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in logistics or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a material handling or warehouse role
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and procedures
- Experience operating a forklift and other material handling equipment
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
