Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Mold Maker for our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and manufacturing molds for plastic injection molding, with a focus on medical devices. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and who is committed to maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and manufacture molds for plastic injection molding, primarily for medical devices, in accordance with ISO13485, AS9100, AS/ISO 9001 standards
- Ensure all molds are designed and manufactured to the highest quality, meeting all relevant industry and safety standards
- Utilize MasterCam programming and HSMworks in the design and manufacturing process
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of molds to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Collaborate closely with the engineering and production teams to troubleshoot any issues and optimize the production process
- Continually update knowledge and skills in line with the latest industry developments and innovations
- Maintain accurate records of mold designs, manufacturing processes, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in mold making, with a focus on plastic injection molding
- Proven experience in the engineering industry, preferably with a focus on medical devices
- Proficient in MasterCam programming and HSMworks
- Thorough understanding of ISO13485, AS9100, AS/ISO 9001 standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards and continuous improvement
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting all deadlines
- A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
