Position Overview Structural Drafter, reporting to the Director of Engineering, will utilize Revit to produce project drawings.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Produce structural design and construction documents in Revit
- Create shop drawings for steel fabrication and construction in Revit
- Produce plans, sections, elevations, and details to convey structural design and construction information
- Create detailed drawings that feed automated welding robots
- Gain an understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methods
- Promote a collaborative team atmosphere
- Work under the direction of the internal architects and engineers
- Convert CAD drawings/layouts into Revit
- Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor
- Generate schedules and bill of materials
- 2 years structural drafting
- REVIT proficiency
- BIM drafting technique knowledge
