What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Manager Assistant position at John F Murphy Homes?
The Residential Manager Assistant role involves a wide variety of tasks which may include: training of Administrators and DSPs, assisting in the monitoring of an individual’s health, assisting in program development, assisting with the management of staff schedules, providing overall coordination of services and follow through of JFM policy and procedure within their designated programs. The Residential Manager Assistant is deployed by the Residential Manager in a number of different homes as needs arise.
The goal of the program is to provide a safe, comfortable home in which each individual living there has the opportunity to develop his or her ability to make choices that will improve the quality of their lives. Each person requires emotional support and guidance in the development of skills related to daily independent living, family and community life. In addition to having developmental disabilities, many people served have acute or chronic physical, psychiatric, or medical conditions that require evaluation and treatment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. : High School diploma or GED required. Minimum of three years successful direct care experience assisting people with developmental disabilities. Ability to use a variety of computer software including word processing, data base, and e-mail as demonstrated through experience or training
B. : Ability to type. Familiarity with MicrosoftÒ Office software is highly preferred. Familiarity with terms used in the social work arena and experience with DHS / DMR agencies desirable.
C. : Valid Maine driver’s license with good driving record required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $21.51 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
