Equipment Operator/Laborer

Overview
Local family run excavation business is searching for a skilled and dedicated heavy equipment operator to join our team. We are looking for someone who has 5 Plus year of previous experience, can work with our team and also independently. CDL is a plus.

Duties

• Multi-Equipment Operation: Operate other construction equipment, such as bulldozers, loaders, skids Deere, excavator, dump trucks as required by the project.
• Site Maintenance: Perform general cleanup of the job site, ensuring it remains organized, safe, and free of hazards.
• Grade Stake Maintenance: Check and maintain grade stakes to ensure accurate work is performed.
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly maintain and inspect all equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition. Perform minor repairs as needed.
• Driving: Operate trucks and transport materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Additional Tasks: Assist in any other duties related to the general operation of the job site.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to lift materials and tools weighing more than 50 pounds periodically

Experience

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
• Familiarity with construction site operations and safety regulations.
• Experience in commercial driving is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
