Particulars: I am Johnnie Bond. The founder, owner and CEO of Bond Law. We are a personal injury law firm that represents clients who have suffered injuries from the negligence of others. I have worked with many people over the years and I want to work with the best. We are seeking to grow this law firm to serve more people with our ever evolving, client-focused, high achieving customer service. Do we work hard? Yes. But not like that. We work hard to improve ourselves and our process so that we work smarter not harder.
We are looking for a Litigation Paralegal with some exceptional skills. You must be either trained in Filevine or able to adapt quickly to using this excellent case management tool. I enjoy working with self starters and people who possess a number of technological skills such as proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point and Google Workspace tools.
AI is the new reality and I am looking for someone who is able to use AI tools to make their job and the firm's processes and procedures more efficient and automated.
Time management is crucial. We are looking for people who manage their time wisely, strategically and efficiently. If you plan out your days, weeks and years to accomplish your dreams, we want you on our team.
Pre-litigation and Litigation knowledge preferred: As a Litigation Paralegal, the majority of the cases that you manage will be in the litigation phase. This job requires that you have experience with legal research, drafting pleadings, minor motions, calendaring, scheduling depositions/meeting, communicating with opposing counsel and vendors and other paralegal activities. We have document templates in filevine that do a fair share of the work. But you must know or be willing to learn the world of litigation in order to support the attorneys who take our clients' cases to court.
As a Litigation Paralegal you will also conduct intake of potential new clients. After a new client is signed up with us, you may also be appointed as the client's case manager which means you will communicate with and manage the client's claim until it is settled. This includes collecting medical records, bills, lost wage forms, insurance policy statements, photos, police reports, video footage and all things necessary to support the client's claim for settlement and trial if necessary. You will be the main point of contact with the client from intake to settlement.
Our process is automated through filevine. So getting up to speed with our proven process can happen pretty quickly. You will just need to apply yourself to become acquainted with filevine if you are not already. Once you are adapted to our process, the workflow is automated and prompts you along from phase to phase.
Administrative skills needed: we are looking for someone who has experience managing administrative tasks as well. We receive mail that must be scanned and filed accordingly. You will be called upon to issue checks to pay invoices and client payments. We send out birthday cards monthly, and you may be required to assist with this task as well as other administrative tasks.
This position is full time, we have a 401(k) plan, a PTO policy and healthcare. Pay TBD after interview
Preferred skills but not required: we will pay close attention to your candidacy if you have worked in a small law firm environment or have supported attorneys that have taken cases to trial.
