Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in preconstruction planning, including materials, safety, and labor, and conduct site visits as needed.
- Ensure smooth project start-up, create and manage project schedules, and guide your team effectively.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of construction labor, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality construction, and compliance with design specifications.
- Oversee safety and design specifications, coordinate subcontractor work, and manage project progress.
- Examine and inspect work progress and construction sites to verify safety and design specifications are met.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to field staff, and interact with owners, designers, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct safety meetings and manage the closeout process.
- Ensure all reports and records originating on-site are completed accurately and timely, and forwarded to appropriate company personnel.
- Analyze worker and production problems, recommend solutions, and review them with the manager.
- Work as a team with other company employees and subcontractors, and perform additional duties as directed by the manager.
Physical Requirements:
- Stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.
- Work in confined spaces, diverse weather conditions, and perform tasks at heights.
- Maintain excellent vision and hearing.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Procore experience highly regarded along with strong computer skills (MS Excel, MS Project, Word, Outlook).
- At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry with a solid understanding of building systems and civil work. Experience in reconstruction is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in construction science/construction management is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and safety laws.
