Job Summary:
We are seeking to hire a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner (NP), who will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients suffering from acute and chronic pain, utilizing a range of therapeutic interventions and evidence-based practices. The NP will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans, provide patient education, and ensure optimal pain management strategies are implemented to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Job Summary:
We are seeking to hire a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner (NP), who will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients suffering from acute and chronic pain, utilizing a range of therapeutic interventions and evidence-based practices. The NP will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans, provide patient education, and ensure optimal pain management strategies are implemented to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' pain, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic testing as needed.
- Develop individualized pain management plans tailored to the patient's condition, preferences, and goals, incorporating both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.
- Prescribe and manage pain medications, including opioids and other controlled substances, in accordance with established protocols, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Administer injections, nerve blocks, and other interventional procedures as appropriate (if applicable to scope of practice).
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical outcomes, side effects, and patient feedback.
- Educate patients and families on pain management strategies, including self-care techniques, physical therapy, lifestyle modifications, and the importance of adherence to treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, psychologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients coping with chronic pain and related challenges.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Stay current with advances in pain management practices and continuously seek opportunities for professional development.
- Participate in case conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and other activities aimed at enhancing patient care.
- Adhere to all legal, ethical, and professional standards of practice.
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the United States
- Strong knowledge of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic pain management techniques.
- Experience with interventional pain management procedures (if applicable).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication, patient education, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assess and respond to patients' needs in a compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered manner.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (if applicable).
- Ability to lift, move, and transport patients, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform various clinical tasks for extended periods.
- Occasional exposure to hazardous materials, including bodily fluids, and ability to follow safety protocols.
- In one office setting 3-4 days a week
- Working with the doctor 2-3 days a week, seeing follow ups and new patient consults
- Collaborating efficiently with all members of the office to run a proficient office flow
