Territory Manager
Location: College Station, TX (Preferred)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a results-driven Territory Manager to contribute to company growth and profitability by expanding new and existing customer sales within the assigned geographical territory. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with a background in contractor or wholesale HVAC sales. A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. This Role will be responsible for calling both residential contractors and multifamily apartments.

Key Responsibilities:Territory Management & Customer Engagement

  • Develop a deep understanding of customers within the assigned territory, including their revenue potential, business operations, creditworthiness, and supplier relationships.
  • Identify and prioritize key accounts to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers in the industry.

Sales & Business Development

  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to identify customer needs and present product and service solutions.
  • Collaborate with customers to define the next steps in the buying process and guide them toward successful purchases.
  • Work with customers to plan and forecast sales while updating territory plans, forecasts, and goals with management.
  • Maintain a trusted advisor role with customers, regularly engaging to provide insights on market trends, industry updates, and new opportunities.

Internal Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer commitments are met, including pricing programs, product availability, and service delivery.
  • Provide customer feedback to the branch team and follow up on leads and issues.
  • Resolve customer problems efficiently, serving as the primary point of contact.

Tracking, Reporting & Market Knowledge

  • Utilize CRM tools to document customer interactions, analyze sales trends, and track buying behaviors.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor products, pricing strategies, and industry innovations.
  • Participate in industry events, trade association meetings, and open houses to represent the company.

Qualifications:Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct sales experience, preferably in contractor or wholesale HVAC sales.

Technical Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of HVACR wholesale distribution and customer business operations.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop actionable strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and POS systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is a plus.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent listening, questioning, and observational skills to uncover customer needs.
  • Professional presentation and proposal writing abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.

Work Expectations & Environment:

  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and be comfortable with frequent travel within the territory.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 100 lbs.).
  • Work is primarily performed at customer sites using a company-provided car, cellphone, and computer.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and ethical sales approach at all times.
