Journey Center for Safety and Healing (formerly known as Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center) is a non-profit organization that fosters safety and healing for those affected by domestic violence and child abuse and prevents abuse through education, advocacy and systemic change.
Journey Center is seeking a Full-Time Supportive Services Manager who is responsible for overseeing all direct client services at Journey Center for Safety and Healing’s Emergency Shelter. The Supportive Services Manager provides oversight of the day-to-day operation at shelter and programming including groups, shelter activities and direct supervision to Coordinators and Advocates and ensures services delivered to clients are carried out in accordance with the agency’s mission and best practices.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Oversee all aspects of the emergency shelter
- Supervise emergency shelter staff
- Maintain relationships with outside agencies and relationships with internal staff to promote transitions out of shelter
- Rotating schedule of on call duties
- Oversee delivery of client services
- Oversee delivery of programming
- Shelter process Quality Assurance
- Knowledge of fiscal aspect of shelter programs
- Assist with providing coverage of shelter
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of work experience required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing supervision preferred
- Experience working with victims of trauma, domestic violence and/or child abuse preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
Position and job type: Full-time, Salary Exempt, Salary range 50k-52k
Schedule: Work hours are Monday-Friday, some evening and non-traditional hours required
