YOUR PURPOSE: To support the Accounting and Finance Department by performing administrative and financial tasks.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine clerical accounting duties within a fast-paced finance department while adhering to established standards.
- Execute accurate reporting, filing and database management in multiple systems.
- Perform various accounting tasks, including but not limited to processing accounts payable, posting journal entries, preparing weekly AP report and check run, recording deposits, and posting customer payments.
- Perform reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts, including posting automatic payments and coding and recording purchases.
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements against vendor profiles and past vendor payments.
- Research and answer vendor, employee, and department questions regarding the status of accounts and payments.
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos.
- Monitor email traffic and respond to inquiries within twenty-four hours, communicating effectively with colleagues, vendors and customers.
- Organize regular cycle counts across multiple departments to ensure inventory accuracy, ensure all cycle counts are performed on schedule, and assist with cycle count inventories throughout the year as needed.
- Report and reconcile inventory discrepancies and communicate inventory information to relevant personnel.
- Under supervision, apply inventory adjustments within prescribed dollar limit.
- Maintain and update inventory records and generate and review inventory reports.
- Process internal purchase orders and transfer documents, adhering to set reorder points, and entering completed orders into multiple systems.
- Drive internal order and transfer processes and timelines, updating forms as needed.
- Compile and distribute various reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial data.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Participate in problem solving within the department, identify areas for improvement, suggest and implement solutions, and contribute to the development of new procedures that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with special projects as directed.

YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Post-secondary education or relevant coursework in accounting and finance preferred.
- 1 - 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with account software, particularly Quickbooks.
- Experience in inventory control, including monitoring stock levels, tracking movements, and conducting audits preferred.
- Familiarity with an Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is a plus.
