We are a dynamic and growing residential development group based in Alpharetta, GA, and are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional residential communities while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Job Summary :

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties to support the financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with hands-on experience using Yardi software. Familiarity with Brix is a plus. Prior vertical home building accounting experience will be a huge benefit. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform daily accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Collaborate with property managers and development teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Utilize Yardi for property management accounting and financial tasks.
• Support project cost accounting and budgeting, leveraging Brix (preferred).
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as needed by management.
