What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Auditor position at JTEKT North America?
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Perform Quality Audits of bearings in various stages of production.
Perform line Audits on all product lines and ability to identify non-conforming product.
Compile data for records relative to product quality.
Provide on-the-job training to co-workers as needed.
Understand and implement containment process to insure control of suspect product.
Sufficient product knowledge to know when to stop production lines when necessary.
Notify appropriate Set-up / Section Leader when problems occur.
Operate various lab Equipment: Roundness Machine, CMM, Contracer, Micro-Vickers Tester,
Hardness Tester and Form Talysurf.
A good working knowledge of Metrics.
Ability to use indicators and perform basic gage repairs.
Able to instruct machine operators in correct mastering and use of gages.
Notify Quality Technician when gage problems occur.
Be able use various hand gages (example: calipers, scales, pin and plug gages, etc)
Ability to work as part of a team.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job progression to the next level will based on the plant’s Pay Progression Program issued by HR:
Employees progress through pay scale based on acceptable performance and time.
Will be granted on 6 month intervals in October and April.
Employees will be given an annual evaluation on Safety, Quality, Attendance/Dependability, Quantity, Cooperation/ Attitude and Job Knowledge in October of each year.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED, and 1year to 3 years of related experience and/or training.
