Salary: $18.00 USD Hourly - $25.00 USD Hourly
Description:
Job Title: Assembly Technician
Location: Fully Onsite in East Providence, RI
This will be a long term 1 year contract opportunity with strong likelihood for extensions
(This role is apart of a 4 yr project, contract expected to be 4 years min.)
Summary: The Assembly Technician will be responsible for understanding the manufacturing environment for a line of electromechanical/optical sensors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assembly of complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies.
Read, understand, and adhere to work instructions, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
Proper and safe usage of hand tools.
Mechanical assembly of products within acceptable quality and output levels.
Assemble components or sub-assemblies using appropriate tools and following specific guidelines and procedures.
Inspect parts for defects or damage.
Optical assembly is a plus.
Work in a small, fast-paced team atmosphere.
Knowledge of electrotechnical assembly and box build processes (optics a plus).
Experience with and knowledge of core concepts/industry use of PCBAs and electromechanical components (cameras, lenses, optics, etc.).
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of electromechanical experience (optics field a plus).
