Service Desk - Deskside Support Agent

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Provide advanced technical support for a wide range of hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot complex problems with systems, applications, and peripherals on Windows, Macintosh, and mobile platforms.
- Perform printer break-fix, installation, and maintenance.
- Coordinate data backup and recovery efforts.
- Execute hardware refresh and technology deployments.
- Manage warranty and out-of-warranty repair and replacement processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve audio and video conferencing issues.
Maintenance:
- Ensure smooth operation of IT assets through routine maintenance and proactive monitoring.
- Manage computer patch updates using the Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution.
- Oversee the device refreshment process, including the replacement and upgrade of outdated hardware.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as system updates, software installations, and hardware checks.
- Monitor system performance and generate reports on maintenance activities.
Asset Management:
- Manage the lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to disposal.
- Perform asset tagging, tracking, and disposal.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving of equipment.
- Manage spare parts inventory.
- Work with external suppliers to schedule repairs.
Resource Management:
- Facilitate the onboarding of new hires and consultants by providing necessary technical resources.
- Prepare and configure hardware, software, and network services.
- Ensure accurate assignment and updating of hardware information.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on support activities and inventory status.
- Open, classify, assign, track, and close service requests and incidents.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to a diverse user base.
Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA IT Fundamentals, ITIL Foundations, etc.) are a plus.
- Experience with account creation and provisioning tools, such as EntraID, Active Directory, and Group Policy Objects.
- Some exposure to on-premises MS Exchange and MS Exchange Online is a plus.
- Some experience with routine management of MDM solutions (Intune, Kaseya, JAMF, or others).
Work Environment:
- 5 days onsite support is required.
- Work is usually performed in an office environment with normal noise levels.
