Deskside Support Analyst (8-10 week contract)

Onsite in Conshohocken

We were hoping to obtain an IT resource to assist with the installation of equipment at some of our properties that do not have a dedicated resource in the area. We believe that this work will take approximately 8-10 weeks.

The position would be managing our 3rd party vendor who will be onsite performing the physical aspect of the work. This includes ensuring accurate asset management as well as remotely connecting to the devices and configuring any and all aspects such as installing printer drivers, running updates, verifying end user information is present and they are satisfied, and everything is functioning properly.

This would be someone we would like to have physically in one of our corporate offices in either Conshohocken or Rochester. The position would be similar to the Deskside Analyst role, only temporarily and for the specific work of remotely managing our Deskside work in areas without dedicated Morgan resources

  • Maintain, support, and troubleshoot network devices including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, faxes, switches, routers, modems, patch panels, wiring, etc.
  • Maintain and support with best effort any and all ancillary systems such as key fobs, gate systems, security cameras, and other internet connected property devices.
  • Maintain IT Department standards for each office. Ensure that every office is set up with standard configuration and all components are functioning correctly. All networking equipment is present and operational.
  • Provide timely support assisting end users with software and hardware issues.
  • Install new equipment and remove old equipment.
  • Maintain appearance of computer equipment, wiring and networking components.
  • Help with equipment moves and relocation of IT equipment.
  • Assist with acquisitions of new properties.
  • Provide second level support/training to first level help desk.
  • This position does require physical labor such as unloading pallets of equipment, picking up heavy printers, maneuvering under desks and in crawl spaces, loading equipment onto vehicles, etc.
  • This position requires day travel for onsite assistance when needed.

Requirements And Desired Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience providing support for both hardware and software issues
  • Experience with MS Windows in an Active Directory domain environment
  • Basic network troubleshooting skills including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
  • Experience with installation and configuration of network printers, scanners, and storage devices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
