Overview:
This role is part of an operational support team, focusing on day-to-day operations rather than project-based work.
Top Responsibilities
- Addressing operational issues and troubleshooting
- Collaborating with the vendor (GE) to triage issues
- Investigating the issue log and resolving outstanding issues when there are no immediate concerns
- Training and learning new skills during downtime
- Supporting transmissions, commercial operations, and other partners using the systems
- Acting as the first point of contact for these teams
- Working within a team of 6 full-time employees and 1 contractor
- Occasionally engaging in project-based work, though primarily focused on daily operations
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-3 years in a similar role
- Technical Skills:
- Experience in an EMS environment (preferably with GE SCADA products, specifically XA/21, though training is available for other systems)
- Knowledge of RTU and ICCP
- Familiarity with utilities (as these products are mainly used in this industry)
Preferred:
- NERC-CIP certification
