Job Summary
Independent contractual grant writer with a proven track record of obtaining grants in the human services/criminal justice fields. This position requires several forms of technical writing and experience in the following areas:
Responsibilities
- Letters of inquiry
- Full grant proposals
- Logic Models
- Budget narratives
- Budget Excel spreadsheets
- Supporting documentation
- Report writing
Skills
- Strong proofreading and editing abilities to ensure high-quality submissions.
- Proficient in research techniques to identify relevant funding opportunities.
- Ability to develop programs that align with organizational objectives and funder expectations.
- Knowledge of contract management processes related to grant funding is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
The amount of work per week varies, and may range from two (2) to seven (7) hours, (occasionally more) per week. During July and/or August, the workload may be diminished.
