Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Government RFP/Proposal Writer to join our team. This role requires a combination of research, editing, and proofreading skills to ensure that all proposals are accurate, persuasive, and professionally presented.
Duties
- Develop and write high-quality proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other solicitation documents.
- Conduct thorough research to gather relevant information about clients, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather necessary content and insights for proposal development.
- Edit and proofread proposal drafts to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to guidelines.
- Utilize Visio for creating diagrams or flowcharts as needed to enhance proposal presentations.
- Maintain a repository of proposal templates, best practices, and lessons learned for future reference.
- Communicate effectively with team members throughout the proposal development process to ensure alignment on objectives and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical writing or proposal writing, preferably in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word) for document creation and formatting.
- Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise content.
- Excellent proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail to identify grammatical errors and inconsistencies.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with Visio or similar tools for creating visual representations of information is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
