Financial Aid Coordinator
Juniata College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Aid Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of the Student Financial Planning office, you will play a vital role in assisting with the planning and coordination of financial aid programs, services, and office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as the primary contact for the Office of Student Financial Planning and provides administrative support to help the office run smoothly.
- Supports current and prospective students and their families on financial aid procedures and processes while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and institutional policies and regulations.
- Consults with various College offices and external agencies to resolve related processing, certification, and payment issues.
- Acts as a liaison for the PHEAA Pennsylvania State Grant program and other special programs, analyzing and resolving student eligibility issues.
- Administers private loans for students and parents, including review of application information, determining eligibility, and certifying loans.
- Monitors campus employment and earnings, serving as the primary contact regarding work study.
- Develops forms, letters, fact sheets, and other informational materials necessary for specific financial aid functions and processes.
- Maintains the Financial Aid office's web page content and updates, as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize financial aid software and other software applications. A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education is required, along with one to three years of related experience in student support services or client support services.
