Operations Manager

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina

Start Date: May 1, 2025

Base Salary: $55,000 (Salaried Role)

Monthly Performance Bonus: Tied to Quarterly Gross Profit, New Business Development, and Key Operational Optimization Metrics

Total Compensation Range: $55,000 - $75,000 annually (to be revisited at 12 months)

About the Role:

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Manager to join our growing team and drive the daily performance, scheduling, and strategic expansion of our junk removal business. This is a dynamic leadership role suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves solving problems, and takes pride in building high-performance teams.

Inspired by top-performing brands in the industry, this position combines dispatch oversight, team management, customer support, and operational optimization—with a pathway to future market expansion.

Core Responsibilities:

Team & Scheduling Leadership

- Act as the central dispatch hub to coordinate jobs, support Team Leaders, and manage the daily schedule

- Conduct proactive outreach to confirm jobs, gather customer information, and look for upsell or efficiency opportunities

- Host daily huddles or weekly ops meetings to drive alignment, safety, Operations-led marketing, and performance

Operations Optimization & Oversight

- Continuously improve daily routes, team member tasking, and job sequencing to maximize efficiency

- Manage cash handling, invoicing, and accounts receivable—providing weekly roll-ups for executive review

- Oversee and support field teams as needed, including being on-call for large-scale or high-priority projects

- Lead Operations support for Remix Market, an upcycle retail business, that works to support The Junkluggers mission

Growth & Development

- Partner with leadership on new business development, customer acquisition strategies, and service expansion

- Identify and support process improvements and technology tools that streamline admin and field work

- Lead expansion efforts into new territories and markets as business demands grow (Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point)

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- Strong preference for prior experience in the junk removal industry

- Previous experience in logistics, dispatch, field operations, or service-based business management (moving, etc. a plus)

- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

- A customer-first mindset with a passion for performance and team development

- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and remain calm under pressure

- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and jump in to help field teams as needed

- Comfort with light data analysis, process creation, and accountability for core operations metrics management and reporting

- A valid driver’s license and clean driving history, and ability to be on-site or on-call as needed
