Job Description:
We are seeking a Corporate Paralegal to provide legal support to our growing healthcare organization in the Mount Laurel, NJ area.
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel and be responsible for a wide range of tasks from basic to complex, including providing support for Risk Management initiatives.
This position is remote with occasional travel to South Jersey (approximately 1-2 times per quarter).
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfilling requests for contracts, insurance, and legal correspondence
- Drafting agreements, including employment, real estate, and vendor contracts
- Organizing contracts, insurance policies, and legal filings
- Reviewing and analyzing legal documents and service contracts
- Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our legal and risk management services
- Supporting litigation and claims through working with outside defense counsel
- Developing standard operating procedures for purchasing and contracting with vendors
- Assessing risk related to healthcare regulations and corporate compliance
- Communicating with offices, clients, and third parties
- Providing administrative support to senior leaders
Requirements:
- 6 years of paralegal experience in a corporate office environment or equivalent
- Prior work experience in the healthcare industry preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- Certificate in Paralegal Studies preferred
- Strong analytical and written communication skills
- Excellent time management, organization, and planning/problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications
- Collaborative approach and strong customer service orientation
- Able to maintain confidentiality and security of corporate proprietary information
- Strong grasp of HIPAA, HITECH, and other privacy laws
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to project ownership
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with contract database program (MediTract) a plus
