- Takes part in process improvement opportunities where applicable (ex: support process and communications).
- Assist team with vendor management, and participates in root cause analysis when required.
- Assist in creation of support and maintenance standards, procedures and documentation.
- Must have the ability to handle stressful situations in a fast paced environment.
- Builds and maintains relationships with the IT team and functional leaders at JMC.
- Partners with the cyber security leader in on-going review of business impact analysis of the application portfolio.
- Participate in change control.
- Is a model IT leader both internal and external to IT division.
- Encourages and empowers decision-making skills of staff members and providing insight and leadership in complex situations.
- Ensures that information disseminated to staff is monitored for effectiveness and changed as needed.
- Understands and enforces hospital and personnel policies and procedures.
- Serve on hospital and Patient Care Services committees, teams, and work groups as requested.
- Effectively uses and role models current management techniques and theories, encouraging the decision-making skills of staff members and providing insight and leadership in complex situations.
- Supervises the development of service policies, procedures, and operating guidelines. Collaborates with other services within the division. Ensures that information is disseminated to staff is monitored for effectiveness and changed as needed.
- Understands and enforces all hospital and personnel policies and procedures.
- Lead and/or serve on hospital and Patient Care Services committees, teams, and work groups as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Undergraduate degree, Computer Science, MIS, Nursing, Health Administration, Business or equivalent.
- Graduate degree in Information technology or equivalent preferred.
- 5 years prior management experience in a hospital/healthcare setting desired.
- Minimum of five years healthcare experience working in support of application implementation, support, and development.
- A clinical and/or revenue cycle operations experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required.
- Ability to interact with executives and hospital/clinic operations required.
- Comprehensive understanding of application portfolio management and the ability to maximize the investments made is essential.
- Must have the ability to plan and deliver results in terms of next generation applications as applicable.
- Partners with the business for technology transition to include and not limited to public cloud standards where applicable.
- Partners with IT team to execute on cloud transition strategy.
- Collaborates with the business to vet applicable application solutions to facilitate in clinical and business solutions while maximizing core investments as much as possible.
- An ability to speak to and work with other members of IT leadership to maximize automation services while maintaining a working understanding of infrastructure and cyber security requirements.
- Regularly collaborates with legal, risk and cyber security departments to identify appropriate avenues limiting risk to JMC.
- Stays abreast of emerging trends in core application development and opportunities for automation.
- Has a working understanding of artificial intelligence models.
- Maintains strong relationships with applicable partners for risk identification and mitigation efforts as appropriate.
- Works with business stakeholders and technology teams to identify integration needs as applicable.
- Educates stakeholders on standards, processes and risks encouraging risk reduction opportunities for JMC.
- Advocates for standard applications and processes.
- Must be able to articulate the business/risk proposition regarding information technology to all stakeholders, both internal and external to IT and JMC at large.
- Foundational understanding of process improvement is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills preferred.
