Key Areas of Performance:
- Schedules trucks to ensure crews receive requested trucking needs on time to support production goals. 50%
- Schedules equipment moves to ensure crews receive requested equipment on time to correct locations. 20%
- Serve as a liaison between trucking companies and the Logistics Manager support the achievement of the department goals and objectives. 10%
Note: Twenty percent of time is reserved for ancillary responsibilities, interruptions and unplanned activities.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Schedules, forecasts and ensures trucking and equipment hauls are moving efficiently.
- Follows-up regarding online/app equipment and trucking orders.
- Answers questions regarding orders, missing items, confirmations, no-shows from/with foreman.
- Reviews the schedule to identify non-placed orders, follows up with calls foreman that do not utilize the app to place the order.
- Proactively communicates trucking and hauling matters to necessary parties.
- Sends out rain-out messages.
- Addresses no-shows, troubleshoots trucking and equipment issues to resolve.
- Builds and maintains relationships with Trucking Companies.
- Communicates trucking company performance and issues concerns to the Logistics Manager.
- Learn and monitor trucking software for daily tracking and job assignment of trucks.
Qualifications

Position Skills / Experience:
- The position requires a general understanding of trucking and equipment moves.
- Experience working with Tread software.
- Heavy highway construction experience is preferred.
- High level of communication skills is a critical part for this role.
- The candidate must have strong communication skills.
- Must be willing to work with all types of professional levels.
- Knowledge of DOT requirements preferred.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word Document preparation and Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet navigation.
