Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote early childhood education and align with developmental milestones.
- Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and exploration.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's progress in various areas including math and language skills.
- Collaborate with parents to discuss children's development and provide resources for at-home learning.
- Participate in early intervention strategies for children who may need additional support.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that is conducive to learning and play.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience working with students in daycare or preschool settings.
- Knowledge of early intervention techniques to support children's learning needs.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate math and other foundational skills.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Familiarity with child welfare standards and regulations related to preschool education.
- Experience in private school settings is a plus but not required.
