What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Assistant position at Justine?
Justine is a modern Brasserie in New Orleans' historic French Quarter. Owned and operated by James Beard Award winning Chef Justin Devillier and wife Mia Devillier, Justine combines the sophistication of Parisian brasseries with the playfulness of the South's most lively district. We have an open kitchen concept that showcases all your talents while getting to feel the fun high energy of the dining room.
Justine is now accepting applications for experienced Pastry Assistant and Plater. Candidates should have an understanding of baking, pastry, and plating technique. The job will assist the Pastry Chef with prep tasks and be responsible for plating desserts during service.
We start at $18 - $20 based on your level of experience. Minimum experience required is 1 year of Restaurant Pastry Experience.
A desire to learn and attention to detail is required. We are seeking passionate individuals who are reliable team players.

50% employer contribution towards Group Health plan for full time employees (30 hours/week) after 120 days.
