Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have extensive finance and accounting knowledge, great attention to detail, and possess 7 years of accounting / finance responsibilities, preferably in the investment management industry.
The Candidate must:
- Be a current licensed CPA.
- Be a strong team player, organized and be able to prioritize tasks to ensure strict deadlines and milestones are achieved.
- Deliver excellent analytical skills with the ability to multi-task and transition from accounting duties to communicating complex issues and resolutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring all duties are accurately performed, deadlines are strictly adhered to, tasks are well managed, and all department employees are cross-trained.
- Preparation of quarterly financial statements and supporting analytical reports as well as periodic regulatory and tax reporting.
- General ledger management and analysis using QuickBooks.
- Working with Big 4 Audit and Tax professionals providing timely critical documentation.
- Internal audit activities include advisory fee billing and collections, accounts payable and credit card transaction processing.
- Hedge Fund and Mutual Fund reviews of period-end accounting and reporting.
- Expense analysis, cost control.
- Maintenance of policy and procedure manuals for all duties performed within the Finance department.
