K&D Landscaping’s Construction department is a leader in design-build landscape construction based in Watsonville, CA. We specialize in high-end residential design-build projects and commercial landscaping projects. We are a culture-driven and employee-focused company. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. This position offers the unique opportunity to oversee landscape projects from inception through completion, while also managing project estimates to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee landscape construction projects from planning to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Perform accurate cost estimates for landscape construction projects, ensuring budgets align with project goals.
- Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain quotes and information based on the plans and specifications provided.
- Manage and distribute change orders, requests for information, submittals and any other crucial project documents to the appropriate parties and in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed documentation for all phases of the project, reporting on progress and financials to leadership.
- Conduct site visits to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications.
- Manage post-construction processes, addressing any close out documents, punch lists, and job walks.
- Track and analyze financial performance, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape project management and project cost estimating.
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction practices, materials, and equipment.
- Proficiency in estimating software and project management tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as necessary.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with periodic travel to project sites.
- Full-time position, occasional extended hours to meet deadlines.
